I’m not a coffee drinker anymore…at least, not for right now. But I do recall exactly how bad the coffee is at almost every single Walt Disney World dining location, quick-service or otherwise. Nescafé is not my friend.
So I was amused to see that Budget Travel (my actual favorite travel magazine) has a piece online this week about how to brew better coffee in your hotel room.
One of the largest problems with the typical drip coffee maker is its weak wattage. You need a lot of electrical power to heat water up to its ideal brewing temperature. Otherwise, you lose out on many coffee flavors and aromas. Most hotel room coffee makers aren’t up to the task, but I have three workarounds for you to follow
It’s clearly a hot topic…if you scan down through the comments, there are additional tips from amateur coffee fans.
As for me, for now I’ll be sticking with the herbal tea.
Thanks. NOw I understand why the coffee is always so bad. Does the water get hot enough for good herbal tea?
Not really….though if you run the water through twice it gets closer.
